I have heard that there are EU developement grants available for some businesses in BG...and I've researched what I can about it, read news reports on the local mafia fiddling the system and found all sorts of things they will give grants for, even though it seems to take about 3 years to get anything if you qualify.
What I can't find out is whether I can get something if I want to employ local labour, develop land to encourage tourism and bring money to the local economy. It's all a bit of a minefield really..
Anyone know if there are local law firms that specialise in grant applications, not just to sort out the paperwork, but also advise the best way forward to actually qualify for one ?

EU grants are very difficult to get and usually you have to match any grant and jump through various hoops. I very much doubt there are grants to employ local labour otherwise any Bulgarian employer could just get a grant to pay his employees wages! Tourism possibly if you are doing something different but doubt it for just creating holiday accommodation as again everyone would do it.
