Starting on March 27, travellers will be able to choose from Varna airport's new summer schedule. This features 19 additional regular flights to and from Varna airport, Fraport Airport Management, the concessionaire of the Varna and Burgas airports, said on March 24.
In total, 19 new regular lines will be launched, including four new destinations, Cologne (Germany), Katowice (Poland) and Samara and Kazan (Russia), the report said.
The most frequent flights to and from Varna will be servicing Sofia, Vienna and Budapest, which will be conducted daily.
Starting at the beginning of June, daily flights will be carried out to Moscow's Domodedovo airport by S7Airlines. Bulgaria Air will also launch regular flights from June 2, twice weekly to Sheremetyevo Airport, and from May 28, to St. Petersburg. Those will be held once a week.
Wizz Air flights to London's Luton airport will be on Tuesdays and Saturdays and from June 23, on Thursday. Starting on April 22, Bulgaria Air will conduct flights twice a week to Gatwick airport, the report said.
Flights to Brussels will be three time a week from April 1, while regular flights to St. Petersburg, Luxembourg, Dusseldorf and Ekaterinburg will be launched in May.
Connections from Varna to Oslo, Chisinau, Zurich, Novosibirsk and Rostov will begin in June. New chartered flights to Katowice (Lot Airlines), Samara (Ural Airlines), and Kazan (Tatarstan Airlines) are also scheduled to begin then.
Regular flights to Cologne will be made by low-cost Germanwings, once a week, and will begin in the second half of July.
