I unfortunately have a dog that is basically intolerant to most commercial dog food. No wheat - gluten - beef or pork . so I am trying to find out if anyone knows if this can be catered for in Bulgaria - I will try & bring as much with me as possible but I only have a Nissan Micra so space is an issue. Any info appreciated

I suggest you try one of the veterinary clinics in Stara Zagora. There is a brilliant, new high tech one on way out not far from Billa. Lilly who is a vet there trained in the USA and speaks excellent English. They'll be able to help I'm sure.
So is your dog basically vegetarian?

No he cant stand veg but does like potato. He can eat chicken/turkey/duck & lamb but unfortunately most commercial dog foods use "animal derivatives" which include everything and often have beef & pork derivatives. Not difficult in UK but might be in BG - it would have been helpful if it was my little dog but sods law its the Biggy that eats 1 1/2 lbs a day.
